On Wednesday, March 17th at 2:00 pm, please join Chestnut Village
for a fascinating program presented by Leon Bey, the President of
Friends of the Dayton Arcade. Leon will speak about “The Dayton
Arcade: The Crown Jewel of the Gem City.”
This one hour program features the history and photo tour of the
1902 magnificent glass-adorned rotunda, the apartments under
restoration with original marble fireplaces, the Arcade walkway from
Third Street to the rotunda, new offices, retail and future tenants.
Hear the plans of the ongoing restoration including
public sponsorship of the replacement of over 400
glass panes in the rotunda and walkway. This will
give you the opportunity to get to know the plans
of the restoration project estimated to be completed
December 2012 by the new owners, Gunther Berg and
Wendell Strutz. Celebrate the success of saving the Arcade for
future generations!
