Located in a unique, homelike setting in Oakview, Brethren Retirement Community provides care to individuals living with early cognitive impairment and/or decreasing physical abilities.
Primary services include:
- Activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, assistance with incontinence care, and bathing
- Medications ordered and administered by a Licensed Nurse
- Elopement Alarm
- Licensed nurse available 24 hours a day, 7 day a week in the Oakview 4 neighborhood
- Meals served in the Oakview 4 dining area
- Planned daily activities
- Housekeeping/Laundry
To be admitted to the program, individuals are assessed by trained staff and must meet the following criteria:
- Be mobile with or without devices
- Be able to transfer safely
- Be able to feed self
Apartments in the Enhanced Living area range from single room to two room apartments with a kitchen. Spouses are welcome even if they do not require the extra services. A common congregate living area and kitchen are also available to all of the residents and their guests.
Though the furnishings and lighting give the Oakview apartments a homelike decor, the Enhanced Living area inside was built to create exactly the right environment to care for residents with special needs. From maintaining safe and secure surroundings, to reducing traffic flow and noise.
